Skriz Aziz’k barely remembers Tatooine anymore. When he was only 6, Skriz accidentally stowed away on a trader ship as it left port while helping his clan barter with them. When the crew of the ship discovered him, they were none too happy, assuming him to have stowed away in hopes of stealing valuable salvage.
Fearing being sold into slavery or worse, Skriz immediately put himself to work, trying to prove his usefulness to the crew. Even at his young age, Skriz’s skill with electronics and computers impressed the crew of the ship, and they promised to return him to Tatooine the next time their trade route took them there.
Unfortunately for Skriz, 2 months later the ship was taken by pirates, and this began a long pattern of hopping from crew to crew and ship to ship. Eventually, Skriz realized that he liked the freedom and adventure of the spacer life more than combing a desert for salvage in a sandcrawler, and he decided not to reunite with his clan.
During his time as a freelance mechanic, Skriz developed a habit for tearing apart unused electronics and putting them back together to see how they worked. This earned him the nickname of Scrapheap, and a reputation of being as much of a saboteur as a mechanic. It was during this period that Skriz modified a Vox Box to act as a personal translator, having become frustrated with the fact that no one could understand Jawaese except other Jawas and hardly anyone understood the Jawa Trade Language off of Tatooine.
2 years ago, the ship Skriz was working on was chartered by Rahm Kota. During this trip, General Kota noticed the latent Force potential in Skriz, and recruited him to come to Dantooine for training in Force use.
Now 26, Skriz is still trying to grasp the skills behind using the Force. He is unsure of what the future holds for him, but he knows that if you need something broken or fixed, he’s the tiny man for the job.
